The Hong Kong and China Gas Company (Towngas) - Green Fuels & Chemicals
Authored a ten-section screening/pre-FEED design converting a douzha-led food-processing-waste portfolio and conditioned bauxite residue into light olefins through supercritical water gasification, bi-reforming and OXZEO synthesis. I defined ten independently isolatable 300 t/day hydrothermal trains feeding shared gas-cleaning and conversion units, closed the mass and carbon balances for a 3,000 t/day complex, and screened annual production of 42.35–55.45 kt. I built a four-scenario, 20-year China techno-economic model that showed commodity conversion alone was insufficient and that sustained 55% carbon efficiency plus contracted waste-service income materially strengthened financeability. I also developed the feed-acceptance, siting, HAZOP, analytical, certification, salt and chloride-control plans; designed an energy cascade reducing purchased-energy equivalent to 260 GJ/day per train; and supported engineering for a new US$30 million green-fuels plant in Foshan using Towngas's operating Jungar Banner green-methanol plant as a reference case.
